Kenneth Walker III's dominant rushing performance and MVP nod secured the Seahawks' historic Super Bowl LX victory, silencing doubters and etching his name in the record books.

The Seattle Seahawks were finally able to get their second Super Bowl win in franchise history on Sunday night, and it was due in no small part to the great play from their star running back.

Kenneth Walker III went into the game against the New England Patriots as really the only viable running back for the Seahawks, as Zach Charbonnet tore his ACL against the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round.

And boy did he step up to the plate in a big way.

It was a fairly low-scoring affair in the first half, but Walker was able to get his team into good field position and allow them to score some field goals.

More on that later.

The 25-year-old running back finished Super Bowl LX with 135 rushing yards on 27 carries. While he didn't score a touchdown, he was still able to win the MVP of the game.

This was the first time that a running back has won the award in 28 years, with the last backfield recipient being Denver Broncos Hall of Fame halfback Terrell Davis in Super Bowl XXXII. Walker is also just the 8th running back to ever receive this honor.

"If I would tell myself as a kid right now, I wouldn't have guessed that I would be the one to win the MVP," he said. "So, this is a surreal moment, and it doesn't happen without the guys in the locker room."

The last time the Seahawks were in the Super Bowl, they lost to the Pats in heartbreaking fashion with a Malcom Butler interception at the goal line. Many knocked them for not trusting in Marshawn Lynch to get the score, and they have since been hearing about it.

But now that they put their faith in their running back this year to lead the team to victory, those haters talking bad about the team from 2015 might finally be silent.

And while he did not win MVP, Seattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers had an absolutely incredible Super Bowl. The 34-year-old set a new record for most field goals made in the Super Bowl with five, and that was big reason for the team's win.

Not only that, but Myers became the first player in NFL history to score 200 or more points in a single season, playoffs included, with 206.

The Seahawks hoisted the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the second time in their history, and these two guys were a huge part of Seattle being able to do that.
