The Seahawks have several roster holes, but there are two that should be taken care of first.

The Seattle Seahawks are in an interesting position as the NFL Draft approaches.

The Super Bowl champs have seen a host of key players move on in free agency, with the franchise not replacing them.

Yes, Emanuel Wilson was signed to counter the Kenneth Walker move, but there is some debate as to what exactly Wilson's 2026 path will be. Some even think he won't make the final roster.

Then there are the other departures in Boye Mafe, Coby Bryant, and Riq Woolen.

Those are three good defensive players that Mike Macdonald and general manager John Schneider have to try to replace. One way is to promote from within.

The other is the draft, but there is a problem. Seattle, at the time of writing, only has four draft picks. That isn't a lot of draft capital to work with.

Still, the Seahawks draft needs are rather clear, right?

For Sports Illustrated's Gilberto Manzano, two positions should take center stage.

"The Seahawks countered the Kenneth Walker III departure by signing Emanuel Wilson, the former backup running back for the Packers," Manzano wrote. "Still, they should add another running back in the draft because it’s not a given that Zach Charbonnet will be ready for the start of the season after tearing his ACL in the playoffs.

"The reigning Super Bowl champions have some depth issues on the defensive side after letting Boye Mafe, Coby Bryant and Riq Woolen walk in free agency."

Running back is a fascinating watch.

The Seahawks reportedly hosted former Pittsburgh Steeler and Los Angeles Charger Najee Harris, who is coming off a torn Achilles suffered in Week 3 of last season.

So that tells us the Seahawks aren't completely set on their running back room right now, and they shouldn't be.

As for the defensive needs, some mock drafts have the Seahawks staying put at No. 32 and taking Tennessee corner Colton Hood.

With Woolen gone, the Seahawks need another Day 1 starting corner, and Hood fits the bill.

So those are two positions that need fixing, and you can make the case for a pass rusher as well, given Mafe is out, too.

Which way the Seahawks will go with only four picks is going to be an interesting watch, as the defending Super Bowl champs look to make moves to defend their crown.
