The Seahawks need a running back after Walker left for the Chiefs, and they get one in the draft.

The Seattle Seahawks' run game in 2026 is going to look vastly different compared to the one that helped power Mike Macdonald's team to a Super Bowl win.

Kenneth Walker, as expected, was signed elsewhere in free agency, as the Kansas City Chiefs snapped him up.

The Seahawks, in reaction to that, signed Green Bay Packers backup Emanuel Wilson to add to a running back room that has Zach Charbonnet, George Holani, and Kenny McIntosh.

Keep in mind that Charbonnet will likely miss a fair chunk of the early portion of the season as he is recovering from an ACL injury, so Wilson could be the Week 1 starter.

How would Seattle fans feel about that? Not too confident, I'd imagine.

But the franchise can still add some more bodies to the room, either via free agency or the draft.

And for NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah, in his latest mock draft, the Seahawks, somewhat surprisingly, take a running back in the first round.

Notre Dame's Jadarian Price.

"I see a steep drop at the running back position this year after Price," Jeremiah wrote. "He would slide right into the mix in Seattle, with Kenneth Walker III departing and Zach Charbonnet coming off injury."

Now, Price's stats don't jump off the page.

He posted 674 yards and 11 TDs in 2025, and 746 yards and 7 TDs in 2024.

But there is this. He was behind Jeremiyah Love for both seasons. Love rushed for 1,372 yards and 18 TDs from 199 carries last season (Price had just 113 carries).

So he couldn't really show what he was about.

But running a 4.49 40-yard dash, Price has speed to burn out of the backfield.

Not seen as a genuine three-down back, Price still provides plenty of value to any NFL offense.

Armed with the ability to be patient, allowing for rushing lanes to open up, and once they do, he's superb in not allowing tacklers to get a hold of him. If he isn't wrapped up, he powers forward, picking up crucial yards.

Seen as a "complementary back" by NFL.com's Lance Zierlein, Price could be a useful backup for Charbonnet when he returns from injury, and might even see starting snaps early on.

Seattle needs a Walker replacement. That might just be Price.
