After a Super Bowl win, a Seahawks linebacker savagely shuts down Rams receiver Puka Nacua's online jab, defending his quarterback.

The Seattle Seahawks capped their season in emphatic fashion with a Super Bowl LX victory, but even with the Lombardi Trophy in hand, the chatter online didn’t stop. One moment in particular stirred plenty of reaction from players and fans alike.

Late in Sunday’s matchup with the New England Patriots, as the Seahawks were closing in on the franchise’s second championship, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua took to X and posted a brief message that simply mentioned Sam Darnold alongside a laughing emoji — seemingly poking fun at the Seahawks’ quarterback.

It might have been because it was not Darnold's best game, as he finished with a 50 percent completion percentage and just 202 yards. But despite having a bit of a down game, he was still able to help lead his team to the huge win.

And one of his teammates in particular went to bat for him on social media in response to Nacua.

Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV — one of Seattle’s defensive leaders and a player known for his fiery competitiveness — didn’t hold back. With the confetti still falling from the Super Bowl celebration, he quoted Nacua’s message and fired back with a blunt reply:

"Ain’t you at home. Goofy (expletive)."

In one short line, Jones made it clear he wasn’t impressed by the shade. His response reminded observers that Nacua wasn’t even on the field that night — the Rams had been eliminated two weeks earlier in the NFC Championship Game by Seattle, with Darnold playing a leading role in that victory.

This might also be because Jones and Nacua were teammates on the Rams in the wide receiver's rookie season, so they might just be playing around.

But if they're not, then it is still good that the star linebacker is sticking up for his QB.

While Nacua hasn’t yet publicly replied to Jones’ comeback, the exchange quickly became a talking point among fans online — and a reminder of the simmering rivalry between Seattle and Los Angeles. For Seahawks supporters, it was another satisfying moment in a season full of highs — capped by a championship and marked by strong cohesion between the locker room and their quarterback.

The Seahawks just won the Super Bowl, so they shouldn't be listening to or worried about any of the haters.
