The Seattle Seahawks' running back room has been the topic of much conversation over the past few weeks as Kenneth Walker left for the Kansas City Chiefs.
That leaves Zach Charbonnet, who is dealing with an ACL injury, George Holani, Emanuel Wilson, and Kenny McIntosh.
Is that a running back room capable of helping push the Seahawks towards another Super Bowl? Fans likely have their doubts.
But what matters is what the franchise thinks.
Charbonnet proved last season that he can be a more than viable option in the run game, but fans likely don't feel too certain about the rest of the room.
Seattle general manager John Schneider was a guest on Seattle Sports, and he doesn't seem to be too concerned about the running back room.
"That's a position that you can find guys," Schneider said on Seattle Sports’ Wyman and Bob. "And obviously, (Walker was) outstanding, and everybody's really excited for him. I mean, that's a great, great contract for a running back. But George did a great job. We're really excited about Emanuel Wilson, who we got from Green Bay, a heavy runner with really nice feet.
"Just to kind of quell people, at this time of the year, I get it. But like, (Charbonnet) is doing great. Kenny McIntosh, he had a great (2024) season, and that was just an awful injury for him. But I get it. And it's a position that ... we know where we're at right now."
On paper, the run game does look worse without Walker.
But that doesn't mean the rushing attack will suddenly be horrific in 2026.
Brian Fleury will implement his own ideas and how he wants things to go, and it might be a running back by committee approach for the offense.
Schneider is right, though, the running back position is one where you can find nice pieces, both in free agency and the draft.
Are the Seahawks done adding to the room? Possibly.
But fans will feel much more confident about the rushing attack if a quality starter is signed.
Even if the franchise doesn't, Schneider seems rather content with the options at his team's disposal.
