It was Price's first taste of NFL action, so what were his overriding thoughts on his debut?
Jadarian Price had himself a rather good introduction to NFL football with the Seattle Seahawks as they managed a key Week 1 win.
After such a long offseason, learning the playbook, building chemistry with his teammates, and then not playing in any preseason games, that first proper taste of NFL football was going to be interesting.
For Price, he got the game's first carry, before ending his night going 52 yards on 10 carries, while also managing six receiving yards on two catches.
His trademark burst and brutal running style were on show as the Seahawks' run game was serviceable without Kenneth Walker.
For some rookies, that first NFL game is a big learning experience. You are going up against seasoned veterans who are looking to make an example of you.
But Price handled it well enough, as Seattle managed a 13-10 win.
However, what was Price's biggest takeaway from his NFL debut?
"Biggest takeaway is NFL games are unexpected," Price said. "It's probably going to be a close game. I mean, because it's so much talent, and I mean, it's the best. It's the most elite. So that was my first takeaway, the game's on the line, we might go into overtime the first game of the season, Wednesday night. Who plays on a Wednesday night? Like it was all those things were swarming in my head."
Thankfully, a Josh Jobe interception late in the fourth quarter ended that overtime talk, and the Seahawks have now won back-to-back games over the Patriots.
For Price, coming from college at Notre Dame and then having no real football to prepare him for the season opener, was it a big adjustment to playing real NFL football with nothing of the sort happening during the offseason?
"Not really," he added. "It was just a little bit more sore after the game because I finally got tackled. But that's good for my body to get used to."
So, there aren't too many complaints from Jadarian out of his debut, and now his attention turns to Week 2 and the Arizona Cardinals, where he will meet his Notre Dame teammate Jeremiyah Love.
With Price as Love's backup in college, the pair will have a special reunion as they look to get one over the other in the NFL.
