The Seahawks are searching for a starting running back, and they could find one after the NFL Draft.

The Seattle Seahawks' running back position is one that appears to be in a state of flux.

With Kenneth Walker now with the Kansas City Chiefs, and Emanuel Wilson signed to add to the room, Seattle's run game, on paper at least, doesn't look too formidable.

Zach Charbonnet, who is recovering from an ACL injury, is likely to miss the early part of the season. Then we have George Holani, Kenny McIntosh, and Wilson as the other options.

That doesn't appear to be a group capable of pushing this team towards another Super Bowl.

With the Seahawks bringing in Najee Harris in for a visit this offseason, that tells you the franchise isn't sold on its current options. We have seen mock drafts in which the Seahawks take a running back in the first round, but even then, is that enough to move the Seattle run game forward?

Over the past week, we have seen rumors of potential trades happening across the league, with Breece Hall named as a potential candidate by websites.

And now we have another one, this time from Bleacher Report's Gary Davenport, who has named the Seahawks as a potential fit for Miami Dolphins back De'Von Achane.

"It has been a fire sale in Miami this offseason," Davenport wrote. "Frankly, the offers that are being projected by some are underwhelming, even with the Texas A&M product about to sign an extension that should average at least $15 million per season.

"If a team comes to the Dolphins with a beefier offer, though, Sullivan would likely reconsider his stance on Achane."

The fact that Seattle allowed Walker to leave in free agency tells me it isn't too keen on paying top dollar for a running back. Achane, you would think, would want to be handsomely paid.

Plus, when this potential trade takes place is key. Why? Because at the time of writing, Seattle only has four picks in this year's draft. Unless the franchise packages a pick from this draft and the 2027 draft.

But still, with Miami stating it has zero interest in dealing Achane, the franchise could be tempted if a big enough offer comes in.

I'm just not sure Seattle will be willing to part with the draft capital needed to acquire Achane, plus the salary he'll demand.
