With Zach Charbonnet injured, Walker will see an increased workload against the Rams.

The Seattle Seahawks will head into Sunday's NFC Championship matchup against the Los Angeles Rams without one of their top weapons.

Running back Zach Charbonnet suffered a torn ACL in the divisional round win over the San Francisco 49ers and is out for the year.

That means a heavier workload for starting back Kenneth Walker.

Against the 49ers, Walker rushed for 116 yards and 3 TDs from 16 carries to be the shining light for Klint Kubiak's offense.

And now that Charbonnet, who leads the entire Seahawks offense in touchdowns (12),  is out, more will be expected of Walker and everyone else on the offense to put up enough points.

But Walker has only three games this season in which he's had 17 or more carries, something he's expected to have Sunday in Charbonnet's absense.

So, is there confidence that he can do that if needed?

"Yeah, Ken's the proof is on the film,” Kubiak said. “He's played some really good football, and we have all the confidence in the world of him to carry a heavier load. But it's not all on him, he's got help, but we're obviously counting on him.”

When Charbonnet's news broke, attention quickly turned to who could replace him on Sunday.

Given Kubiak's love of having a two-back system with Walker and Charbonnet, that will be tinkered with a little.

But there has to be someone who can relieve Walker when he needs a breather.

Cam Akers and George Holani are the ones who are expected to get some reps on Sunday at Lumen Field, and Kubiak has full confidence that the pair can be productive.

"Yeah, I think between George, Cam, we got guys that can play," Kubiak added. "We got some talented backs, I think John Schneider's done a great job of giving us really smart, dependable players below Zach. So, I'm excited for their opportunity."

It all comes down to one game for the Seahawks.

Having been one of the most consistent teams in football during the regular season, they then curb-stomped the 49ers.

Now, the Rams are the only team standing in their way of a Super Bowl appearance.

It's all hands on deck for Mike Macdonald's team, with running back a big watch.
