Jaguars could swoop in for Super Bowl-winning cornerback Riq Woolen. His imposing frame and talent make him a prime free-agent target, potentially forcing the Seahawks' hand.

The Seattle Seahawks were able to get the best of the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX, and one of the biggest reasons for that was their defense, who was able to dominate in the regular season as well as the playoffs.

And their cornerbacks on the outside played a huge factor in that dominance.

But in a recent ESPN prediction, one of the team's best players at the position could be going elsewhere in free agency.

ESPN's Aaron Schatz lists one player that he believes every NFL team will sign this offseason. And for the Jacksonville Jaguars, he thinks they will take a chance on Seahawks cornerback Riq Woolen.

"Woolen has stirred some controversy in Seattle and was benched briefly a couple of times last season due to mistakes. But he still ranked 12th in the league in my coverage DVOA metric," Schatz writes. "He's also a larger, more physical corner who could cover receivers who might be too big for the slight-framed (Travis) Hunter."

Woolen did make a few mistakes this past season, such as the taunting call he received in the NFC Championship that gave the Los Angeles Rams a free touchdown. The Seahawks obviously went on to still win that game, but the young corner still learned quite a lesson from that.

But all of that does not say that Woolen does not have the makings of a star cornerback in this league.

He finished this past season with 41 total tackles, 12 passes defended, and an interception that he took back 30 yards. And he did all of this while starting in just seven of the 16 games that he appeared in.

None of that is even mentioning the impressive frame that Woolen has at the corner position. He stands 6-4 and weighs 210 pounds, which are some imposing numbers for opposing wide receivers to go up against.

That would stand in start contrast to the leaner and quicker two-way prospect Travis Hunter if Woolen were to go to the Jaguars as Schatz suggests.

But with how well he played in limited time in 2025, the Seahawks could be willing to do whatever it takes to secure the 26-year-old defensive back to help the team defend the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
