Roster cuts have come and gone, and now the only thing left is to see who makes it back to the practice squad.
The Seattle Seahawks have trimmed down their roster as cut down day has come and gone.
For most, it is a dark day in the NFL as some players who get cut might never land on another NFL team, and their dream of playing professional football is over.
But for others, they get claimed by other teams or land back on the practice squad of the team that cut them.
And for the Seahawks, they did lose Jared Ivey to the Atlanta Falcons, but others did return to the practice squad.

Seattle has now released its practice squad ahead of the new season.

We know that the Seahawks, after cutting Trevon Diggs, made it clear that they had the intention of signing him to the practice squad if he cleared waivers, and it was thought that no other team would sign him.
Now he can work on his craft with an eye on potentially being elevated to the active roster at some point during the 2026 season.
Velus Jones Jr. got some burn in preseason, so too Emmanuel Henderson Jr. and Jacardia Wright, and all three return to give the Seahawks some levers to pull in case of injury at either running back or receiver.
The Seahawks wouldn't need to call up any of the practice squad players in an ideal situation, but we know that football is a fickle beast, and sometimes you need cover at certain positions.
Seattle has that now, and across multiple positions.
The hardest day on the NFL calendar is now over, and with teams still figuring out who will be on their roster and who will be on their practice squad, the Super Bowl champs have done their work.
Now, all eyes are on the New England Patriots in Week 1.
