Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet shares an inspiring message of faith from his hospital bed, detailing his recovery after surgery.

One standout Seattle Seahawks running back is on the path toward NFL free agency.

And the other is on the road to recovery.

The Seahawks are officially entering the offseason now as, among other things, the 2026 franchise tag window opens.

There might be some clarity there, as it seems Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker III is reportedly not expected to receive the franchise tag.

That means he'll hit the market seeking a financial bonanza ... though it certainly does not rule out his return to the 'Hawks.

Meanwhile, his running mate is on a hospital bed sending out an emotional note on his rehab plan.

The health of Zach Charbonnet is another issue in the Seattle backfield following the running back's torn ACL sustained during the divisional round playoff victory against the San Francisco 49ers.

This injury has triggered an immediate depth concern, because the Charbonnet injury could require nine months of rehab.

Charbonnet underwent successful surgery in late February 2026 to repair his knee. ...  likely causing him to miss so much time that a late October or November return seems optimistic.

Does that make the retention of Walker more pressing?

Or does the organization navigate its way to a roster rebuild by starting over at the position?

For now, we will take it as a positive that Charbonnet, the 2023 second-round draft pick who has provided Seattle with a power running back, is communicating the news of his update directly to fans via Instagram from his hospital bed.

He recently shared a message of faith that included the verse from 1 Peter 5:10 ...

"And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you."
