The Seattle Seahawks are one game away from Super Bowl glory, with the New England Patriots standing in their way.
It has been some season from Mike Macdonald's team, with Sam Darnold and his career redemption story just one chapter away from being complete.
Having played in big games throughout the season, playing in the postseason has a whole different feel -- it is win or go home.
And Darnold has played the best be possibly could, with wins over the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round. Then Sam followed that up with a stellar performance against the Los Angeles Rams, throwing for over 300 yards and 3 TDs in the NFC Championship game.
But while those games had an increased sense of pressure, the Super Bowl is a whole different beast.
This is what you play the game for. All the film sessions, OTAs, training camp, and everything in between have all led to this moment.
That is some sort of pressure that will be on the shoulders of players from both teams.
But for Darnold, has it sunk in yet that he'll be a starting quarterback in the Super Bowl?
"It's amazing, it really is," Darnold said via ESPN. "I'm enjoying this process because it is a two-week process up to the game. Being able to kind of breathe and let it sink in, that yeah, we're going to the Super Bowl, it's a big deal.
"But when you enjoy it throughout the couple of weeks, I feel like that'll help my mind, ease my mind a little bit going into the game."
So the two-week build-up has its advantages.
Some think the gap between the championship games and the Super Bowl is too long, and that the game loses something.
But in Darnold's case, and I imagine a lot of other players, the two-week break allows them to fully soak in the experience and helps remove any nerves.
Of course, they'll still be there on gameday, but the enormity of what is on the line might not seem as daunting.
And for Darnold, who has been doubted at every turn, is close to making his dream a reality, and shutting up his skeptics in the process.
