The Seahawks' roster as a whole looks to be in good shape, but one position group has some a little nervous.
You could make the case that not many of the Seattle Seahawks' roster positions are in grave danger of being subpar in 2026.
What general manager John Schneider and coach Mike Macdonald have constructed is maybe the most well-rounded roster in football. ...
And now one with a bunch of guys who get to wear Super Bowl rings.
Of course, there are a few doubts about players here and there, but for the most part, we know what we're going to get from Seattle in 2026.
But there is one position group that, at least right now, is a little uncertain, and that's running back.
Rookie Jadarian Price is shaping up to be the starter as Zach Charbonnet is recovering from his ACL injury, while Emanuel Wilson, George Holani, and Kenny McIntosh are all career backups and haven't been "the" guy for an offense in their careers.
So, Seattle is putting a lot of faith in Price to keep the ship afloat until Charbonnet returns.
And for ESPN's Brady Henderson, when asked what is Seattle' Achilles heel, he went with the running back group.
"The run game isn't an obvious Achilles' heel, but it is a question mark," Henderson wrote. "Kenneth Walker III left in free agency and Charbonnet, Seattle's co-starter in 2025, might miss a good chunk of the season following February knee surgery.
"The Seahawks replaced Walker by spending the 32nd pick on Notre Dame's Jadarian Price, a backup in college who is slated to share time as a rookie with George Holani and Emanuel Wilson. Holani, who impressed the Seahawks with his fill-in work in the playoffs after Charbonnet went down, has 25 carries over two NFL seasons. Wilson, a power back signed in free agency, was a backup over his three years in Green Bay."
So that is a lot of unknowns.
Given how the group is shaping up, new coordinator Brian Fleury might opt for a running back by committee for the early portion of the year, with Price, Wilson, and Holani all seeing the field.
Once Charbonnet returns, I'd imagine it will be he and Price who take the majority of the snaps.
Of course, Price could play to such a high level that he is the undisputed starter even when Zach does return, but right now, it still feels like this team is waiting for Charbonnet to get back on the field.
Time will tell whether the run game will be the thing that holds Seattle back in 2026, but right now, there are more questions than answers about the group as we get set for training camp.
