He's rewriting Seahawks history and dominating opposing cornerbacks. Can JSN lead Seattle back to Super Bowl glory?

The Seattle Seahawks will face off against their division rival Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in the NFC Championship. This is the team's first appearance in the title game since they made it to the Super Bowl in the 2014 season.

And a big reason that they have made it as far as they have is their superstar, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, having one of the best seasons by a wide receiver in Seahawks history.

As a result, he will play a huge factor in the team's first appearance in the NFC Championship in a decade.

Bleacher Report's Gary Davenport recently put up an article ranking who he believes are the top 10 players left in the NFL Playoffs, and he has JSN ranked at No. 3 on his list.

"Smith-Njigba paced the league with 1,793 receiving yards in 2025, and his 119 receptions trailed only Nacua, Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride and Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase," Davenport writes. "Both the yardage and reception numbers were franchise records."

The only players that Davenport has over JSN are Matthew Stafford and Drake Maye, who are the two frontrunners for NFL Most Valuable Player.

Smith-Njigba did not have that much of a chance to show out in the Divisional against the San Francisco 49ers, as Seattle was in complete control the whole game. But against the Rams is where he needs to show that he is the best wide receiver currently in the NFL.

There is another wideout in Puka Nacua who also has a case for that title, but Davenport had him ranked just behind JSN at No. 4. And he gave one simple reason for this decision.

"What is perhaps most impressive about what Smith-Njigba accomplished this year is that opponents knew he was going to be targeted constantly and could do nothing to stop it. He didn't have a Davante Adams playing opposite him to draw coverage away. And it didn't matter even a little bit."

JSN is a threat no matter what whenever he takes a step onto the field, and the Seahawks will need to use him to the best of their abilities if they want to make it back to the Super Bowl and hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the first time since Super Bowl XLVIII.
