The Seattle Seahawks have every reason to be feeling good about their 2026 roster - generally speaking.
But there is one key spot where a mad scramble might have to ensue.
The Kansas City Chiefs are signing running back Kenneth Walker III after his breakout championship season with the Seahawks.
Walker moves to Kansas City fresh off one of the most memorable postseason runs by a running back in recent memory.
That deal is reportedly for three years and $45 million with a base of $14.35 million annually and $28.7 million guaranteed.
The 25-year-old Super Bowl MVP exploded in the playoffs, piling up 417 rushing yards and four touchdowns while helping power Seattle to a Super Bowl LX victory over the New England Patriots.
His biggest moment came on the sport’s biggest stage.
Walker rushed for 161 yards in the Super Bowl, delivering a dominant performance that earned him Super Bowl MVP honors, the first running back to win the award since Terrell Davis in 1998.
And yet we understand why Seattle didn't want to pay up there.
Meanwhile, during the regular season, Walker split the backfield with Zach Charbonnet, but the workload shifted late in the year after Charbonnet suffered a knee injury in the Seahawks’ Divisional-Round win over the San Francisco 49ers.
But going forward, Charbonnet doesn't figure to be ready for a while.
The Seahawks have a need. And so let's add to the list of possible replacements ...

Rachaad White?
White is an all-purpose back in a sense. But the Tampa Bay Bucs have phased him out ... maybe in part due to the fact that White averaged 3.6 yards a carry last year.
Bucky Irving has taken over there; that's an issue, too.
White, 27, is a fine pass-catcher, and he had a 1,500-yard season in 2023. So there are credentials there.
But like all of the other potential candidates, he's now Kenneth Walker ... a fact of life Seattle is about to have to deal with as it finds a new lead back.
