The Pittsburgh Steelers lost quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a hand injury at the end of the second quarter. Still, they rolled to a 34-12 victory over the visiting Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at Acrisure Stadium.

Rodges walked off the field holding his left wrist just before halftime and did not return to the game. The Steelers led 10-6 at the time, but backup quarterback Mason Rudolph threw one touchdown pass and the secondary had a pair of TDs as Pittsburgh won going away.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said after the game that the team would have more information on Rodgers on Monday. The Steelers (6-4) remained in first place in the AFC North after having lost three of their previous four games.

Rudolph completed 12 of 16 passes for 127 yards against a Bengals' defense that is last in the NFL in points allowed and total yards allowed. His 5-yard touchdown pass to running back Kenneth Gainwell in the third quarter extended the Steelers' lead to 27-12.

Strong safety Kyle Dugger returned an interception 73 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter, and cornerback James Pierre ran back a fumble 34 yards for a score with 3:22 remaining to seal the victory. The defense helped the Steelers avenge their 33-31 loss to the Bengals a month ago in Cincinnati when they allowed 470 total yards.

Rodgers had a so-so first half after posting a season-worst 50.6 passer rating in last week's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. On Sunday, he was 9-of-15 passing for 116 yards and an 11-yard touchdown pass to Gainwell to cap the game's opening drive.

In addition to his two touchdown receptions, Gainwell finished with seven receptions for 81 yards. Running back Jaylen Warren carried 10 times for 62 yards before being placed in the concussion protocol. The Steelers held a 344-296 edge in total yardage and were 8 of 14 on third and fourth downs.

Inside linebacker Patrick Queen led the Steelers with nine tackles. Cornerback Brandin Echols forced the fumble that Pierre returned for a touchdown that closed the scoring.

The Steelers go on the road to play the Bears (7-3) next Sunday at Soldier Field in Chicago.
