Aaron Rodgers struggled in the Steelers' loss to the Chargers.
Not only did the Steelers get blown out by the Chargers on Sunday Night Football in Week 10, but future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers also looked like one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL.
Rodgers went 16-31 for 161 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He played so poorly that NFL analyst Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report named the NFL legend the biggest "loser" from the Steelers-Chargers game.
"Rodgers didn't throw well outside the pocket in the loss to L.A," Sobleski wrote. "He completed 16 of 31 pass attempts for 161 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. He had his worst outing since the Week 2 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
"The 41-year-old threw a pass that bounced off wideout Calvin Austin III's hands in the fourth quarter, but the Steelers were already trailing 22-3 at that point.
"Rodgers' first-half inaccuracies put Pittsburgh's offense in tough spots, further compounding the team's inefficiencies within the passing attack."
The Steelers dropped to 5-4 on the season after losing to the Chargers.
Rodgers, one of the greatest QBs in NFL history, was very critical of his performance during the game.
"This was not my best performance," Rodgers said. "I got to play better than this for us to win. Whatever it takes ... if it's better checks, if it's better throws, whatever it is, I got to play better. I will. ... We got to play better on offense, for sure. But this is part of the season. There's ebbs and flows, there's ups and downs, and we can't ride the wave."
In his first season with the Steelers, Rodgers has 1,853 passing yards, 18 passing touchdowns and seven interceptions. He's completing 66.8% of his passes.
"A lot of stuff wasn't working," Rodgers said. "We were bad on third down. I was just a little bit off. I missed DK [Metcalf] early. Could have been a big play. ... I missed some throws for sure. And then we weren't getting guys open ... times the guys were open, I missed some throws I usually make."
Rodgers and the Steelers are back in action next week against the Bengals. The Bengals beat the Steelers in Week 7.
