The Pittsburgh Steelers haven’t been an elite team in the NFL or even the AFC North recently, and that’s just the harsh reality. On paper, the Baltimore Ravens are probably the best team in a very competitive division, and that’s due to Lamar Jackson being who he is.

However, Ben Roethlisberger doesn’t think that’s all that true. Instead of saying the Ravens would be the next team to win a Super Bowl, he believes the Steelers will be.

“It depends on who's playing quarterback for the Steelers, but I would still lean towards [them],” Roethlisberger said on the “Deebo & Joe” podcast, per the Ravens. “Honestly, I probably would have said Baltimore because of what they have going on there with Lamar and that. But here's what I'm going to say: I think that their window's closed. I should say it's closing.

"Obviously, Cleveland, you don't even have to ask that one. And Cincinnati, obviously, I like what Joe [Burrow] does, their offense is really good, but they don't care about their defense, and they don't care about anything there", Roethlisberger added. But he was reluctant to say the Steelers would be the next AFC North team to win the Super Bowl because he would be accused of being a homer. I would say Pittsburgh even breaking it all down. It's a long-winded answer to say Pittsburgh.”

This is a fair thing to say when we consider who Big Ben is. He’s a Steelers legend and likely won’t come out and say a team he hates in the Ravens, has a better chance to win a Super Bowl than his former team.

As long as Jackson is healthy and playing at an MVP level, they’re going to be in the mix. That doesn’t look to not be the case anytime soon, so we just have to be real about it. Baltimore has been close and has been a few bad plays away from being a team that could win it all.

Sadly, over the past five or so years, the Ravens have had a much better chance to win it all than Pittsburgh has.
