The Pittsburgh Steelers have another favorable matchup this weekend against the Buccaneers.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are entering Week 6 of the NFL season ready to keep improving on what has been an interesting year so far.
Pittsburgh comes into the week with a record of 3-2 for the season, coming off an impressive win against the Indianapolis Colts. The Steelers' offense came to life against the Colts, doing pretty much whatever it wanted.
But once again, the defense fell behind, allowing Indianapolis to stick around until late in the fourth quarter. This has become a problem for the Steelers, and it will be something that the team will try to fix this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Tampa Bay finally won a game last week, coming into this game with a record of 1-4 on the season. The Buccaneers are still without star quarterback Baker Mayfield due to injury, giving rookie signal-caller Jalon Daniels another chance to start.
Daniels helped Tampa Bay upset the Dallas Cowboys last week, throwing for 189 yards and a touchdown. Pittsburgh will now be tasked with keeping him in check this week.
Bleacher Report's NFL experts Gary Davenport, Brad Gagnon, Kris Knox, Moe Moton, Brent Sobleski, Wes O'Donnell and Ian Hanford all made predictions for the upcoming game. Within these, only four of seven went with Pittsburgh to win.
Davenport, Hanford, Moton, and Sobleski picked the Steelers to win the game this weekend against Tampa Bay. The predictions were fairly even, despite the fact that the Buccaneers will be starting a rookie quarterback.
For the season, Pittsburgh has gone 3-0 at home, while being winless on the road so far. So, this game against the Buccaneers could offer the Steelers a chance to change that fact, but they will have to execute well.
Daniels got a lot of confidence in the team's win last week, and Tampa Bay's offense has looked much smoother with him under center. While Daniels is a rookie, he does have talent that could make life tough on the Steelers, especially with his ability to run with the ball.
The Steelers defense will have to get after Daniels, making him uncomfortable early on in the game. If they can throw him off his rhythm, the Steelers could be in line to get a big win on the road this week.
Pittsburgh has a chance to show out against a rookie signal-caller, but this defense does have a lot of questions around it. However, if they can get a win this week, it could silence some of the outside noise, at least for another week.
