Agents make the world go around in this league, more often than not.

Agents make the world go around in the NFL, something that most fans and organizations aren't exactly happy about. However, the top agents in the NFL definitely have a lot of pull, and that's not necessarily ideal for a team like the Pittsburgh Steelers.

As the Steelers get prepared to make a decision on star cornerback Joey Porter Jr., with reports indicating that he could eventually be traded over the next couple of weeks, there are some questions that have to be brought up because of his agent.

There are expected to be multiple teams interested in Porter's services, but as of right now, he's still on Pittsburgh's roster.

The Steelers have yet to move on from him, and it remains uncertain if that's because of the lack of interest or the organization simply not getting what it was expecting to if he became available.

That question might be difficult to answer for the Cowboys because of the Micah Parsons situation last season. Parsons is represented by the same agent as Porter, and it's possible that there was some bad blood between the two sides two summers ago.

“The new report identifies the Lions and Cowboys as teams that have called the Steelers.

“Dallas would be an interesting destination, given that Porter is represented by the same agent (David Mulugheta) who represents former Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons. After an ugly contract negotiation, during which Cowboys owner and G.M. Jerry Jones disrespected Mulugheta by pretending not to know who he is, the Cowboys traded Parsons to the Packers once it became clear that Parsons would not play without a new contract,” Mike Florio wrote.

I doubt that David Mulugheta is going to allow one failed negotiation to bother him a second time, but we've seen some crazy things happen in the NFL for sure.

The only thing that I'd be a bit mindful of here for Steelers fans who want to send him to the Cowboys, and Dallas fans who want him, is the fact that messing with the Dallas Cowboys probably isn't the best idea. The Cowboys are one of the marquee organizations in the NFL, and a relationship with them is one that he needs to have a good one with.
