The Pittsburgh Steelers have added Kaden Wetjen.

The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Iowa star Kaden Wetjen with the 121st overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Wetjen is a receiver and kick/punt returner.

For Iowa in 2025, Wetjen had 20 receptions for 151 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown and 79 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. That's what he did on offense.

On special teams, Wetjen had 476 kick return yards and one touchdown and 563 punt return yards and three touchdowns. He's that special of a returner.

"Wetjen is a return specialist first and foremost," Lance Zierlein of NFL.com wrote. "He’s a threat to flip the field at any time as a punt returner. He eludes or breaks the first tackle try and maneuvers around opponents in the open field with great vision. Better hang-time and faster contain should slow his production, but he’ll still be a threat. He can handle pitch plays and swing passes from the backfield or shallow crossers and over routes as a slot receiver. Wetjen offers immediate value as a returner, while a crafty play-caller is likely to install packaged plays for him each week."

Wetjen finished his college career with 1,539 kick return yards for two touchdowns, 954 punt return yards for four touchdowns, 197 receiving yards for one touchdown and 132 rushing yards for two touchdowns.

The Steelers won the AFC North last season but lost to the Houston Texans in the wild-card round of the 2026 playoffs. Mike Tomlin stepped down as head coach and Mike McCarthy was hired.
