Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers should probably retire from the NFL after this season.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers struggled against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, going 10 of 21 through the air for 117 yards. The future Hall of Famer didn't throw a touchdown and he lost a fumble for a Bills touchdown.

The Steelers dropped to 6-6 after losing to the Bills. Mike Tomlin's group doesn't look like a playoff team and NFL analyst Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report doesn't think Rodgers has "enough in the tank to make Pittsburgh matter."

"The Pittsburgh Steelers and their fans are quickly coming to the realization that they're a mediocre football team without serious postseason aspirations," Sobleski wrote. "Furthermore, the once-great Aaron Rodgers isn't going to save this situation.

"Rodgers said those within the locker room need to be held accountable, including himself. However, he quickly turned the conversation into what his wide receivers need to be doing. The receivers haven't played well and deserve a public call-out. At the same time, Rodgers is a shell of himself. Some of the problem may be due to a wrist injury on his non-throwing hand. He's still completed only 52.2 percent of his passes over the last three weeks. The Steelers went all in with an aging quarterback. As the season has progressed, Rodgers doesn't appear to have enough in the tank to make Pittsburgh matter.

Rodgers turns 42 on Tuesday (December 2). He has 2,086 passing yards, 19 passing touchdowns and seven interceptions on the season. The one-time Super Bowl champion is completing 65.2% of his passes.

After the Steelers-Bills game, Rodgers -- who never minces his words -- suggested two simple fixes to getting on the same page with his wide receivers with just five weeks left in the regular season.

"When there's film sessions, everybody shows up, and when I check to a route, you do the right route," Rodgers said. "... We have our meetings every week. We have other opportunities outside of the facility, and [I] look forward to seeing all the boys there."

Rodgers is playing with three fractures in his left wrist. The veteran suffered an injury to his nose, with cameras showing him bleeding after getting hit hard by Bills star Joey Bosa.

"I felt good enough to be out there, just not ready to take a snap under center, hopefully next week for that," Rodgers said. "Disappointed in my performance, disappointed in the offensive performance and got to flush it."

The Steelers face the Baltimore Ravens next. That is going to be a huge game, as the winner will take sole possession of first place in the AFC North.
