Aaron Rodgers' status for Week 12 against the Chicago Bears is still up in the air, as he'll play one of his former rivals. During his time with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers used to beat them with ease, which might not be saying a lot considering the lack of success Chicago had found as an organization throughout that span.

However, what he did to the Bears was rather impressive, although it isn't the focus for him right now.

When speaking to reporters about the bigger picture and how he feels, Rodgers said that he'll practice on Thursday and that his wrist currently feels better than it did the prior Sunday, when he left the game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to the injury.

“It feels better than it did on Sunday, that’s for sure,” Rodgers said, per Lancaster Online.

“I have to get the OK, and I have to feel like I can protect myself.”

Regarding the rivalry that Rodgers has set with the Bears, considering the game will be played in Chicago at Soldier Field, and he’ll likely hear a lot from Bears fans, he said that it's one of the greatest rivalries in sports when it comes to the Bears and Packers.

“It’s a great rivalry, in the history of all sports,” Rodgers said. “You talk about the Lakers and Celtics and the Red Sox and Yankees, you have to talk about the Packers and the Bears.

“There have been some great memories. When I first got to Green Bay, the Bears had the all-time series lead. When I left, the Packers did. Since [Jordan] Love has taken over, it’s gotten even better. I hope the fans can put that behind them.”

For the Steelers, not only is this a big game for Rodgers due to the existing rivalry, but it's one of the biggest games of the year for the organization.

Pittsburgh is sitting in first place after playing some decent football at 6-4 in the AFC North, but the Bears have been one of the better teams in the NFC, evident by their 7-3 record and first-place standing in the NFC North.
