Is this too low or too high for Aaron Rodgers?

NFL.com named Pittsburgh Steelers veteran Aaron Rodgers the 17th-best QB in the league heading into Week 8.

Rodgers, who is retiring from the NFL after this season, has 1,699 passing yards, 13 touchdown passes and five interceptions through seven games. The future first-ballot Hall of Famer is completing 61.6% of his passes.

The Steelers improved to 5-2 by beating the New Orleans Saints in Paris in Week 7. Not only did the Steelers win their third straight game, but Rodgers also made incredible NFL history.

Rodgers threw his 540th career touchdown pass, breaking a tie with NFL legend Peyton Manning on the career touchdown passes list. Rodgers now sits alone in third place with 540.

Tom Brady threw 649 touchdowns with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He's in first place.

Meanwhile, Drew Brees is in second place. He threw 571 with the San Diego Chargers and Saints.

Pittsburgh is averaging 21.9 points per game in Year 1 of the Mike McCarthy era. Rodgers and McCarthy led the Green Bay Packers to a Super Bowl XLV win against the Steelers back in 2011. They reunited this offseason.

Rodgers has been a pro since 2005. The four-time MVP has played for the Packers, New York Jets and Steelers.

Pittsburgh is tied with the Cleveland Browns at 5-2 in the AFC North. However, the Browns beat the Steelers a couple of weeks ago, so technically, Cleveland is in first place in the division.

The Steelers host the Browns next week, so Rodgers and Co. must win that game to avoid going 0-2 against Cleveland this season.

Rodgers had 3,322 passing yards, 24 passing touchdowns and seven interceptions last season. The Steelers won the AFC North but lost to the Houston Texans in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

Can Rodgers win a Super Bowl in his final NFL season like Manning did with the Denver Broncos? Only time will tell. The odds are pretty low since the Steelers have many flaws on both sides of the ball.

However, we said the same thing about the 2010 Packers, and they shocked the world by winning the Super Bowl. Let's see if Rodgers has one more trick up his sleeve before leaving the NFL for good.

Rodgers has 67,973 career passing yards entering the Steelers-Browns game next week. His starting record is 168-95-1 in the regular season.

It's been a while since Rodgers has won a playoff game. January 16th, 2021, was the last time Rodgers has won a postseason game. He led the Packers to a 32-18 win against the Los Angeles Rams.
