This is a huge move for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are adding a two-time Pro Bowler.

According to multiple NFL reports, the Steelers are claiming WR Adam Thielen off waivers.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network first reported the news.

Thielen was waived by the Minnesota Vikings, who will miss the playoffs this season. The veteran had eight catches for 69 yards in 11 games in 2025.

Thielen is friends with Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers.

The Steelers are 6-6 on the season. They are tied with the Baltimore Ravens for first place in the AFC North.

Pittsburgh faces Baltimore this week in a massive game. Let's see if Thielen plays.

The 35-year-old Thielen has 693 catches for 8,380 yards and 64 touchdowns in the NFL with the Vikings and Carolina Panthers. He played for Minnesota twice.

The Steelers are averaging 23.4 points per game. That's 15th in the NFL. Adding Thielen could make Pittsburgh more dynamic on offense.

In his first season with the Steelers, Rodgers has 2,086 passing yards, 19 passing touchdowns and seven interceptions. He's playing with multiple fractures in his left wrist.

After the Steelers-Buffalo Bills game, Rodgers -- who never minces his words -- suggested two simple fixes to getting on the same page with his wide receivers with just five weeks left in the regular season.

"When there's film sessions, everybody shows up, and when I check to a route, you do the right route," Rodgers said. "... We have our meetings every week. We have other opportunities outside of the facility, and [I] look forward to seeing all the boys there."

The Steelers haven't won a playoff game since 2016, while Rodgers haven't won a postseason game since 2020.

Rodgers signed a one-year deal with the Steelers in the offseason. The future Hall of Famer could retire from the NFL after this season. He turned 42 years old today (Dec. 2).
