There are still questions as to whether or not Aaron Rodgers will be playing quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2026. At the very least, the chances of him staying in Pittsburgh beyond next season seem rather slim.
As a result, the Steelers will need to start looking for their Rodgers replacement, even i that means for 2027.
Unfortunately for Pittsburgh, this upcoming NFL Draft class is not exactly rife with quarterback talent, so the Steelers may have to take a flier on someone.
Could that player be Miami's Carson Beck?
Chad Reuter of NFL.com seems to think so, as he has linked Beck to Pittsburgh in his recent four-round mock draft.
More specifically, Reuter has the Steelers nabbing Beck in the third round at No. 85.
There was a time a couple of years ago when Beck was viewed as an elite quarterback prospect, but that has certainly changed.
Beck spent five years at Georgia, breaking out in 2023 when he threw for 3,941 yards, 24 touchdowns and six interceptions while also punching in four rushing scores.

Beck tossed 28 touchdowns and 12 picks the following year, completing just 64.7 percent of his passes. He then transferred to Miami for the 2025 campaign.
While the 23-year-old had a much better season this past year, finishing with 3,813 yards, 30 touchdowns and 12 interceptions while completing 72.4 percent of his throws and leading the Hurricanes to a National Championship Game appearance, he is generally viewed as a Day 2 pick, at best.
Beck's attitude has been called into question throughout his collegiate career, and it has made him a rather polarizing figure. There are also some who simply do not think he is talented enough to become a starter on the NFL level.
Whatever the case may be, it might be worth it for the Steelers to take a chance on him if he is available in the third round ... although I would personally favor Penn State's Drew Allar.
