While the focus for the Pittsburgh Steelers will be centered around the playoffs, former Steelers legend James Harrison is already talking about what he wants to see happen at the quarterback position in the future, and it involves stealing a superstar away from a division rival.

Harrison is trying to recruit Joe Burrow to Pittsburgh, making some fair points. However, he also mentioned that he doesn’t believe Burrow is happy with the Cincinnati Bengals, something many have said in the past.

“I know you ain’t happy what’s going on over there,” Harrison said, per Steelers Wire. “…We missing a piece. You could be that piece. Joe, listen, you got to look out for yourself. You got to take care of yourself. I care about you, Joe, because I did do a year in Cincinnati and I know what you doing over there, what you’re facing over there. I know what you’re going through. …Joe said he wanted to be fun again. You want to have fun? Hey, we over here having fun, Joe.”

Harrison has been with both organizations and knows what it’s like to play with the right tools around him, and he’s clearly suggesting that Pittsburgh offers something Cincinnati hasn’t in a very long time.

Some of that could be due to Burrow dealing with injuries, but regardless, the Steelers have been a much better franchise for a very long time.

Of course, the reality of Burrow leaving the Bengals is unlikely. He’s the franchise cornerstone, signed long-term, and doesn’t seem to hate Cincinnati.

However, Harrison’s comments are what some believe, as there has been league-wide chatter about Burrow wanting to leave. Burrow has taken a beating throughout his career, and injuries have already played a major role in his career.

For the Steelers, they’ve spent years searching for a true franchise quarterback. Adding someone of Burrow’s caliber would instantly change not only the AFC North, but the entire NFL.

Is it realistic? Probably not. But the fact that a Steelers icon is willing to say it out loud is a start to getting him to Pittsburg, even if it’s just a fun idea.
