Michael Pittman Jr. is waiting like everyone else regarding the future of his quarterback. With the Pittsburgh Steelers still looking for an asnwer, all eyes remain on Aaron Rodgers and whether he’ll ultimately decide to return, play for a different team, or retire.

Pittman, who’s excited to play with Rodgers and others, said that he has no idea whether Rodgers is returning yet.

“I don't know nothing. I haven't talked to Aaron,” Pittman said during an appearance with Kay Adams on FanDuel TV’s Up and Adams Show. “I'm trying to give him space because Aaron's a guy, he likes his space, he likes to get refreshed. I didn't want to just get signed and then blow him up and be like, ‘Hey Aaron, what's the deal?’ But just give him time. Him and his wife, they've got to handle some things and then he will decide if he wants to come back or not.

“But the fact that he's still out doing flag football stuff and all that… I think that he wants to play. Just knowing Aaron prior to this, I just think he's gonna try and play as long as he can.”

Rodgers, earlier in the month, said that he hasn’t made a decision yet but hasn’t felt any pressure from the Steelers.

"There's been no deadline that's been put in front of me," Rodgers said. "There's no contract offer or anything. So there's nothing that I'm having to debate between.

"I'm a free agent, and I'm enjoying my time with my wife and this part of the offseason. I think there are conversations to be had down the line, but right now, there haven't been any progressive conversations."

There’s obvious excitement about what this offense could be, as Pittman and DK Metcalf together would be a lot of fun. However, everything hinges on Rodgers. Without a clear answer at quarterback, it’s hard to predict what the Steelers will look like when the season starts.

We’ll have to wait and see how everything goes. After signing Pittman, I’d hope that the Steelers have an answer ready, even if it isn’t Rodgers.
