If the Pittsburgh Steelers had one major regret over the last year, it was almost surely not landing another wide receiver to put alongside of D.K. Metcalf.
Actually, the Steelers did initially have a dynamic Metcalf-George Pickens duo, but they traded Pickens a couple of months after they acquired Metcalf last spring.
That proved to be a critical blunder, as Pittsburgh was never able to replace Pickens, and the former second-round pick went on to enjoy a monster season with the Dallas Cowboys.
Now, the Steelers are entering an offseason full of uncertainty. They will need a new head coach for the first time in nearly two decades, and Aaron Rodgers is probably gone.
One thing is certain, though: Pittsburgh must address its ailing receiving corps.
In fact, ESPN's Aaron Schatz is predicting that the Steelers will add multiple wide receivers this offseason, specifically via the NFL Draft.
"The Steelers will use multiple draft picks on promising young wide receivers," Schatz wrote. "Calvin Austin III is a free agent, as are older veterans such as Adam Thielen, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Scotty Miller. They need more here."

The good news is that this upcoming draft class is pretty deep at the wide receiver position, so Pittsburgh should have numerous opportunities to add legitimate talent there.
It would require a deviation from the club's typical protocol, however.
The Steelers have not used a first-round pick on a receiver since 2006, when they selected Santonio Holmes with the 25th overall selection.
Given that Pittsburgh does not have a second-rounder this year (it traded it for Metcalf), the Steelers may have no choice but to break their two-decade long trend, especially if it plans on selecting more than one wide out.
Many mock drafts have linked the Steelers to wide receivers in Round 1 this April, with Washington's Denzel Boston and Georgia's Zachariah Branch representing potential selections.
While Pittsburgh does have some other glaring needs (such as the quarterback position, for example), it's hard to imagine the Steelers continuing to ignore their receiving corps after what they just watched in 2025.
