The Pittsburgh Steelers could benefit from adding a rival wide receiver from the AFC North.

The Pittsburgh Steelers fell to the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night, seeing their record drop to 2-2 on the season.

Once again, the Steelers offense was inconsistent, and this has now become a real problem for Pittsburgh. And if this were to continue, the front office may start to look at different ways to improve the roster for the stretch run of the season.
One name that could be interesting for the Steelers to consider going after is veteran wide receiver Jerry Jeudy of the Cleveland Browns. While the two teams are rivals in the AFC North, a trade of Jeudy could benefit both sides for the remainder of the season.

For the Steelers, adding another wide receiver could boost the overall ceiling of the team with Rodgers. D.K. Metcalf has been good for the team, but he hasn't generated as much buzz as Pittsburgh thought he may when they traded for him.

The same goes for Michael Pittman Jr., whom the Steelers thought would become the No. 2 option for the team. So far, Pittman hasn't looked comfortable with the Steelers, and a trade for Jeudy could help balance everything out.

Roman Wilson has stepped up for Pittsburgh in recent weeks, but whether he can stay consistent remains to be seen. Adding a player like Jeudy could give the Steelers more depth to work with, and Rodgers would have more weapons to throw the ball too.

Jeudy has fallen in the Browns offensive attack, with Cleveland prioritizing younger wide receivers in the game plan. This could see the team look to move on from the veteran, and the Steelers should try to get in on the bidding.

Cleveland may not want to trade with the Steelers, but the fit is there. Jeudy would thrive playing in a system with Rodgers, and he could get back to being a solid option each week.

So far this season, Jeudy has only caught five passes for 62 yards and no touchdowns. Jeudy needs a change in the worst way, and he could help the Steelers out with their inconsistency issues.

The veteran is under contract for next season as well, but his money isn't guaranteed, giving Pittsburgh needed flexibility if this move doesn't work out. Jeudy seems like a strong flier option for any team, and he isn't that far removed from a 1000-yard season with the Browns.

Overall, this could be a low-risk move for the Steelers to consider, and the cost to land Jeudy may not be too high. But in the end, this type of addition could boost the offense even more, adding more firepower to the Steelers for the season.
