Here are several running back options for the Houston Texans to consider as NFL free agency creeps up (opens March 11th):

- Alvin Kamara (New Orleans Saints, cap casualty)

- Kenneth Walker III (Seattle Seahawks, free agent)

- Breece Hall (New York Jets, free agent)

- Travis Etienne (Jacksonville Jaguars, free agent)

- Jash Jacobs (Green Bay Packers, cap casualty)

Due to salary cap constraints, the Texans can't spend too much at any one position. 

With that said, the Texans can save $8.5 in cap space by cutting ties with running back Joe Mixon and reallocating it towards the rushing attack.
