It's never too early for a mock draft.

PFSN analyst Ian Cummings recently released his latest three-round 2027 NFL Mock Draft, where the Houston Texans added multiple dynamic playmakers.

It’s far too early for any of these mock drafts to be accurate. However, they are still valuable resources for fans to understand some positions and prospects to watch during the college football season. So, don’t think of this as a prediction for the Texans, but instead as an outline of what April could look like.

Having said that, it’s time to jump into PFSN’s latest three-round mock draft.

1:21- Charlie Becker: WR, Indiana

Featured stories

Charlie Becker leapt onto the national scene late last year after a nonexistent start to the season with 574 yards and three touchdowns after week nine. The six-foot-four, 209-pound junior combines elite hands with dangerous deep speed and promising route running that makes him a nightmare to defend. He thrives in contested catch situations, reeling in 77% of his attempts last year.

The Texans have talent at receiver with Nico Collins, Jayden Higgins, Tank Dell, and Jaylin Noel, but have been plagued by injuries. As a result, it makes sense to address the position early next April. If they do, Becker is an intriguing target who would instantly be a primary target for CJ Stroud.

2:53- Cole Sullivan: LB, Oklahoma

Cole Sullivan in the second round is a major projection, as he’s only seen 345 snaps in his career, but he has superstar potential. The six-foot-four, 230-pound redshirt sophomore spent the previous two years at Michigan, where he couldn’t grab a full-time starting role, before moving to Oklahoma this offseason. Now, the ultra-instinctive, versatile linebacker is set to break out in Brett Venables’ defense.

The Texans’ defense is beyond elite, but reinforcements are always needed, particularly at linebacker. Azeez Al-Shaair and Henry To’oTo’o are both outstanding, but the depth behind them is questionable, particularly after the quad injury to EJ Speed. With this in mind, adding Sullivan, or any other linebacker, would be wise.

3:85- Isaac Brown: RB, Louisville

Isaac Brown is an explosive, game-changing threat. The five-foot-nine, 190-pound junior has already tallied 2,064 yards in his career and is primed for another huge season. Brown pairs home-run speed with excellent vision and patience in the backfield that make him dangerous.

Brown should interest the Texans as they lack a dynamic threat in the backfield. Woody Marks and David Montgomery are both great options, but aren’t necessarily explosive players. So, investing in someone like Brown would behoove CJ Stroud and the offense.
