The Tennessee Titans are desperately looking for a quick turnaround in 2026, and their free agency moves prove that.
General Manager Mike Borgonzi put good use to the Titans' league-leading cap space in free agency.
The most expensive moves were the likes of Wan'Dale Robinson, John Franklin-Myers, Alontae Taylor and Cor'Dale Flott. The team made signings in all three phases, and even brought back some familiar faces. Long snapper Morgan Cox and kicker Joey Slye were retained on special teams.
Before free agency began, the team traded defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat to the New York Jets for edge rusher Jermaine Johnson II.
Robert Saleh and Brian Daboll have brought in many players who are already familiar with them, as the Titans look to avenge consecutive 3-14 seasons.
The Titans are going to be an interesting team to watch after all the acquisitions they have made. They are definitely going to look different from what they did in 2025.
Will better results on the field come with those additions? Who knows.
However, ESPN's Louis Riddick is a fan of what the Titans have done so far and called them the team to watch. He's enjoyed how the team has assembled its roster and coaching staff, and he thinks the 2026 NFL Draft will be crucial to their success.
"The Titans," Riddick said. "That’s the team to watch. So many things lining up correctly this offseason, from coaching staff construction to quality veteran player acquisitions that have ties to the coaching staff, a young franchise QB already in place… I like all of it. Now… time to nail the draft."
Free agency isn't over, but fans are still anxiously awaiting who the Titans will take with the No. 4 overall pick in April.
There's still a need for another starting edge rusher to pair with Johnson. The Titans could also pick the best player available. One recent mock draft from USA TODAY's Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz had the Titans selecting Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love.
Love could pair well with Tony Pollard, who the Titans still have under contract for another season.
As I mentioned earlier, the Titans look to be following in the footsteps of both the Washington Commanders and New England Patriots, both of whom went from losing teams to the playoffs in one season after spending the most in free agency.
It'll all come down to how these new additions perform as the Titans are trying to right the ship quickly in the Music City.
