As Peter Skoronski dominates the trenches, league insiders expect the star guard to command a massive payday that far exceeds current market projections for Tennessee’s cornerstone lineman.

The Tennessee Titans have changed a lot this offseason.

It started with free agency.

The Titans used their league-leading cap space to make big moves for Wan'Dale Robinson, John Franklin-Myers, Alontae Taylor, Cor'Dale Flott, and many others.

The Titans then picked Carnell Tate, Keldric Faulk, Anthony Hill Jr., Fernando Carmona, Nicholas Singleton, Jackie Marshall, Pat Coogan and Jaren Kanak in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Before the draft, the Titans made a decision with the future in mind for one of their best players. They opted to pick up the fifth-year option of left guard Peter Skoronski. Skoronski is going to earn roughly $19 million in 2026 with his fifth-year option.

Skoronski had a 96% pass-block win rate last season, and really came into his own.

Now, the next thing on the docket for the guard is his contract extension once his rookie deal expires in 2028.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, an anonymous AFC Executive thinks that the extension will be a lot more than people are initially thinking.

"[Tennessee's] Peter Skoronski is a player I think will put up a bigger number than the casual fan would think," an AFC executive said. "He's a player that's really good but not as well known because he's in a smaller market on a bad team."

On Spotrac, Skoronski's market value is now at $19.7 million. If what the executive says is true, then the Titans may have to fork over even more than that once his current deal is up.

Skoronski has been a mainstay on the Titans' offensive line since his rookie year, which is saying something.

We've already seen the offensive line change this offseason. The Titans parted ways with center Lloyd Cushenberry and right guard Kevin Zeitler. After losing two starters from last season, the Titans brought in Austin Schlottmann and Cordell Volson in free agency.

Carmona and Coogan are expected to challenge them for starting jobs this season, according to General Manager Mike Borgonzi.

Skoronski was taken 11th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Northwestern. He played offensive tackle in college, but was moved to guard once he got to the NFL.

The only time he's missed in his NFL career was his rookie season. He had an emergency appendectomy, missing the first three games. Once healthy, he played in 14 games as a rookie.

Skoronski hasn't missed any time on the field since that 2023 season.

It's good to have some consistency on the offensive line when it comes to Skoronski. We'll have to see just how much money they're willing to pay him if they decide to give him a second contract with the franchise.
