The Titans waived six players and made additional roster moves as they finalize their roster ahead of rookie minicamp, where the 2026 draft class and undrafted free agents will take the field for the first time.
The Tennessee Titans will host rookie minicamp on Friday and Saturday at Vanderbilt Health Football Center in Nashville.
We’ll get our first look at the 2026 draft class, a group of undrafted free agents, and a few players trying out in hopes of landing a contract with Tennessee. We've seen tryout players get signed because of their performance in these practices as recently as 2025 with UConn wide receiver T.J. Sheffield.
Of course, as the rookies take the field, we'll have our first look at Carnell Tate.
Tate has a lot to prove during his rookie season. Some of that comes with where he was drafted. It’s not every day a wide receiver goes No. 4 overall. But another part of it stems from the criticism that’s followed him over the past week.
If you ask Malik Nabers, Tate not being the No. 1 option at Ohio State last season raises questions about whether he can be a true WR1 in the NFL. It’s an easy narrative to latch onto, even if it ignores the context of that offense.
And while Tate won’t be lining up against NFL starters this weekend, rookie minicamp still offers a first glimpse at why the Titans had him as the top wide receiver on their board.
We'll also get an early idea of who to look out for come August training camp.
But before minicamp gets underway, as the Titans lock in some of their undrafted free agents to deals, they were required to make a few cuts from the 90-man roster. In total, they parted ways with six players.
On Thursday morning, the Titans officially waived six players, including defensive end Ali Gaye, defensive end Nate Lynn, defensive lineman Isaiah Raikes, linebacker Cam Riley, running back Blake Watson, and offensive lineman Clay Webb.
Gaye has played in 18 regular-season games with the Titans from 2024 through 2025, with 15 of those games coming in 2024 and just three last season. He has nine career tackles and one sack, which he recorded in a win against the Houston Texans on November 24, 2024.
None of the other five players have appeared in a game for the Titans in their NFL careers. Watson is the only one with regular-season experience, having suited up in two games for the 2024 Denver Broncos.
The Titans also created additional roster space by placing defensive end David Ebuka Agoha on the exempt/international player list, meaning he will not count against the team’s 90-man roster.
Head coach Robert Saleh will speak to the media on Friday morning before the first of two practices over the weekend. Tennessee’s coordinators, Brian Daboll, Gus Bradley, and John Fassell, will address the media on Saturday morning, with the coaching staff expected to comment on both the draft picks Tennessee made last week and the undrafted rookies who could impact the 2026 team.
