Rookie Fernando Carmona seizes a starting role while the organization parts ways with Will Levis, finalizing a transformed depth chart ahead of the season opener against New York.

It's finally here. We got the Tennessee Titans 53-man roster on Sunday after a long offseason.

While there's a lot of excitement in the air, the Titans also had to say goodbye to some fan favorites. Mason Kinsey and Will Levis were both released by the Titans.

The Titans also said goodbye to Cordell Volson, K.J. Osborn and Kalel Mullings. Volson's release guarantees that rookie Fernando Carmona is going to be this team's starting right guard.

Carmona got the surprise start in the first preseason game with the San Francisco 49ers, and fans started to see why that was after watching him play. Volson has been battling back from last year's shoulder injury in training camp with the Cincinnati Bengals and still isn't at 100%.

The good news was that the Titans had him on a one-year, $3.2 million contract, so there was really no risk in letting him go.

Levis' release most likely means that Hendon Hooker will be the Titans' practice squad quarterback since he was waived by the organization. If a player is missing who wasn't released, there's a good chance the Titans waived them and are deciding whether to place them on the practice squad.

Xavier Restrepo was another nice surprise after battling back from his hamstring injury last season. He made a great showing in the final preseason game against the Chicago Bears and has made the roster.

Tyren Montgomery's story has come to a halt with the Titans. The undrafted free agent was waived by the team after story captivated the hearts of many fans around the country.

Aside from that, all the rookies made the roster except for Jaren Kanak, who is on season-ending IR after tearing his pectoral muscle in the preseason game versus the San Francisco 49ers.

We are now just a few weeks away from the Titans' season opener with the New York Jets on Sept. 13.
