Tennessee looks to capitalize on a short week as New York reels from season-altering injuries to Jaxson Dart, Brian Burns, and Malik Nabers ahead of Sunday.
The Tennessee Titans have a chance to erase the memories of the gut-wrenching loss to the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend.
The Titans came very close to upsetting the Eagles but lost on a last-second touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts to Darius Cooper in the back of the end zone. The Titans were leading 20-17 with 1:56 left, but it turned out to be too much time.
Now, the Titans are on the road for the first time this year and take on the New York Giants.
The Giants come into the game at 1-1 after losing 28-6 to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football. The Giants are also entering the game with multiple key injuries on both sides of the ball.
The Titans already had the benefit of playing a team coming off a shorter week, but the injuries are favoring them as well.
Starting quarterback Jaxson Dart left the game early with a knee injury. It is now believed to be worse than initially thought, and he is expected to miss a significant amount of time. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that the team is realizing that his injury could be season-ending.
Dart looked very good in the Giants' season opener. He had 230 passing yards, three touchdowns and 54 rushing yards in a 28-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
He wasn't on the field for very long on Monday before exiting with an injury. Dart went 3-of-5 for 20 passing yards in the limited time he saw the field.
So far, it sounds like the Titans could be facing Jameis Winston at quarterback. Winston just threw for 111 passing yards and one interception in the loss.
Dart isn't the only significant player the Giants could be without against the Titans.
Edge rusher Brian Burns is dealing with an ankle sprain. Burns is fresh off a 16.5-sack season in 2025 and is a big part of the Giants' pass rush. He also had 22 TFLs and 67 total tackles last year.
Then, there's left tackle Andrew Thomas.
Thomas is nursing a groin injury. Thomas entered the league in 2020 and hasn't been able to play a full season since his rookie year due to injuries. He played in 13 games last year and is already dealing with an injury in 2026.
Lastly, there's Malik Nabers.
Nabers had 1,204 receiving yards and seven touchdowns as a rookie in 2024. Then he tore his ACL last year and played only four games. Nabers exited Monday's game with a shoulder injury not too long after Dart left the contest.
We'll have to see who winds up on the Titans' injury reports throughout the week, but the team just got Cedric Gray back. The only other players who were on the injury report ahead of the Eagles game were James Williams Sr. (elbow) and Cor'Dale Flott (quad).
Sunday's game kicks off at noon CT on CBS from MetLife Stadium.
