With critical needs across multiple positions, the Titans face tough decisions. An expert weighs in on their strategic Day 2 draft targets.
The Tennessee Titans are in a unique position in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Titans have the No. 4 overall pick, so they will have their pick of some of the best talent in the draft. Jeremiyah Love, David Bailey, Rueben Bain Jr. and Sonny Styles could all be available, depending on who the other teams take ahead of the Titans.
Styles was actually called a Wild Card for the No. 4 pick by ESPN's Turron Davenport.
There are a lot of different ways the Titans could address Day 2 of the draft. Due to the number of needs that the Titans have, they could go with a player like Love at No. 4 and take care of others, like edge rusher or linebacker.
I wrote about the remaining needs for the Titans after the first wave of free agency. I highlighted edge rusher, linebacker, receiver, cornerback and interior offensive lineman.
NFL.com's Matt Okada believed the Titans still needed a receiver, predicting they would draft one from either trading down or on Day 2.
"While teams like the Patriots and Ravens need a WR1, they have had success behind efficient quarterbacks despite lacking a key playmaker in the pass game," Okada said. "The Titans, however, have a fledgling quarterback in Cam Ward -- drafted No. 1 overall last year -- and totaled just three wins in each of the last two seasons. Tennessee must find a legitimate top target for Ward to improve last season's 30th-ranked passing attack, possibly by trading down from fourth overall, trading up into the late first round or hitting on a WR prospect on Day 2."
Carnell Tate, Jordyn Tyson, Makai Lemon and Zachariah Branch are the top receivers on Mel Kiper's Big Board. There is a lack of depth for the Titans at receiver. Mason Kinsey, Bryce Oliver, Chimere Dike, Hal Presley III and Xavier Restrepo are the reserve options at wideout.
The Titans padded their receiver room with the addition of former New York Giants player Wan'Dale Robinson. Tennessee's starters are projected to be Calvin Ridley and Elic Ayomanor on the outside, with Robinson in the slot.
Everyone is wondering what the Titans will do with the No. 4 overall pick, but there are still valuable players to pick from in the later rounds as well.
The 2026 NFL Draft is still a couple of weeks away, and the Titans will be on the clock before we know it.
