Fresh faces join familiar names as Tennessee secures Hendon Hooker and Kalel Mullings. Discover which standout performers survived final roster cuts to bolster the team's depth.
The Tennessee Titans filled out their practice squad for the most part on Monday.
In order to make room for the 53-man roster, the Titans waived multiple players in the process. Players like Hendon Hooker, Will Levis, Kalel Mullings and others were in the wake.
Many of the players who made the practice squad spent time with the Titans this preseason. Xavier Restrepo and others weren't initially among them, but they can still find a spot with the team as long as they clear waivers.
Restrepo was eventually signed to the practice squad after being waived one day after the release of the 53-man roster.
The current total of players on the practice squad is still at 17 after subtracting three and adding four players recently, per insider Jim Wyatt.
Here are the players we know about so far:
QB Hendon Hooker
Hendon Hooker joined the Titans this offseason from the Detroit Lions. It was always going to come down to him and Will Levis as the last quarterback to make the roster, depending on how many the Titans wanted to keep.
The Titans instead decided to keep two, going with Cam Ward and Mitchell Trubisky. Hooker made plenty of plays on Saturday night. He had 37 passing yards and 29 rushing yards.
The former Tennessee Volunteers quarterback is staying in the Volunteer State for now.
RB Kalel Mullings
Mullings was drafted out of Michigan a few years ago after converting to a running back in his senior year with the Wolverines. He played linebacker previously.
Mullings was in the mix at running back in the preseason but didn't do enough to make the 53-man roster and was waived.
He missed time in the preseason with a hip injury and wasn't very active in any of the three games the Titans played.
It seems the Titans are keeping him around as he continues to recover from the injury.
WR K.J. Osborn
K.J. Osborn made his way to the Titans after starting his career with the Minnesota Vikings in 2020.
He was eventually released after the 2023 season and signed with the New England Patriots. He was waived and claimed by the Washington Commanders. He signed a one-year deal with the Commanders in March of last year but was then waived in the final roster cuts.
Osborn then ended up on the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad and joined the Titans in April.
He is getting ready for his second time as a practice squad player in the NFL.
RB Michael Carter
Michael Carter was with Robert Saleh at the New York Jets from 2021-23.
After signing with the Titans in the offseason, he proved to be a versatile player capable of contributing to the backfield, catching passes in the flat or even as a returner.
The former Jet is staying with Saleh and the Titans.
DE Jalyn Holmes
Jalyn Holmes is another player now on the practice squad who started his career with the Vikings.
He began with the Vikings in 2018 and has been with organizations such as the New Orleans Saints (2021), Chicago Bears (2022), Jets (2023-24), and Commanders (2024-25).
He signed with the Titans midway through the preseason and accounted for three total tackles and one TFL.
DT Timmy Horne
Timmy Horne not making the roster is a result of the Titans' depth on the defensive line.
Horne didn't have a bad preseason by any means. He recorded five total tackles and 0.5 sacks. The Titans just have plenty of depth at defensive tackle with Jeffery Simmons, John Franklin-Myers, Jordan Elliott, Solomon Thomas, Jackie Marshall and Nazir Stackhouse.
It's as simple as that.
DB Shemar Bartholomew
Shemar Bartholomew is one of the few players on the practice squad who wasn't with the team during the preseason.
Bartholomew went undrafted in 2024 and signed with the New York Jets. He's also been with the Carolina Panthers (2024), Minnesota Vikings (2025) and Green Bay Packers (2025).
DB Jalen McMurray
Jalen McMurray is another player from the Tennessee Volunteers to make the Titans' practice squad.
He spent his final two seasons of college football at Tennessee after transferring in from Temple.
McMurray was an active tackler at cornerback on Saturday, finishing with five total tackles and 0.5 sacks.
The Titans liked what they saw and are keeping him around.
OT Rasheed Miller
Rasheed Miller is the UDFA addition from Louisville.
He started his college career at Georgia Southern and transferred to Louisville in 2024. The Titans decided to keep Austin Deculus and Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson at swing tackle, and Miller is starting out the year on the practice squad.
Miller was one of two UDFA offensive tackles for the Titans with Aamil Wagner.
WR Tyren Montgomery
Tyren Montgomery's story continues with the Titans.
He was a long shot to make the roster, but now he has a place on the practice squad. He went from not playing football to having a breakout couple of seasons at John Carroll. He and Beatty are both still on the Titans after going through training camp.
OG Drew Moss
Drew Moss has been with the Titans since being claimed off the waivers last year. He started out with the San Francisco 49ers and played in five games before being let go.
He has yet to make any appearances with the Titans.
Moss has been moved to the practice squad after the Titans put Jackson Slater and Garrett Dellinger as the backup guards.
TE Joel Wilson
The Titans kept four tight ends on the 53-man roster, but Joel Wilson wasn't among them.
The active tight ends for the Titans are Gunnar Helm, Daniel Bellinger, David Martin-Robinson and Kylen Granson.
Wilson has been with the New Orleans Saints, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers and New York Giants.
DT Laki Tasi
Laki Tasi was added to the Titans by way of the NFL's International Player Pathway Program.
He has an exception as an international player. Tasi comes to the NFL all the way from Samoa, growing up in Brisbane, Australia.
WR Xavier Restrepo
After a brief 24-hour break from the Titans, Restrepo is back with the team on the practice squad.
His comeback story has been great to follow this offseason and it's going to continue in Nashville with the Titans.
A really great feel-good story and it's even better that he's going to stay around for the foreseeable future.
LB Mohamoud Diabate
This move was a little surprising considering how much playing time he got in the preseason initially.
Diabate joined the team this offseason after spending the first three seasons of his NFL career on the Cleveland Browns.
It'll be interesting to see what the Titans do with him since we know that he can provide ample production.
S Isaiah Oliver
Isaiah Oliver joins the Titans after spending the last two years with the New York Jets.
He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 2018 out of Colorado. He's also been a member of the San Francisco 49ers.
He's played in 53 games with three starts and recorded three interceptions and 382 total tackles.
CB Erick Hallett II
Erick Hallett II was also selected in the 2023 NFL Draft.
He was picked by the Jacksonville Jaguars but got waived and signed to the practice squad. He got waived in 2024 and picked up by the Detroit Lions and placed on their practice squad.
He spent two years on the Lions' practice squad before the Titans signed him in 2025. He played in one game last year.
