After a draft-day slide fueled by injury, the former Miami standout is clocking elite speeds and battling a loaded depth chart to secure his NFL future.
The Tennessee Titans have trended towards keeping undrafted free agent wide receivers lately.
Mason Kinsey joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He didn't make it through roster cuts and was waived. He then had a stint with the New England Patriots on their practice squad that year.
He was eventually released and rejoined the Titans in 2021. He was cut again after the preseason but was signed to the practice squad. He was elevated to the active roster later that season and has been with the organization ever since.
Bryce Oliver is one of the more recent additions.
Oliver was similar to Kinsey in that he joined the team as an undrafted free agent but didn't make the 53-man roster. He was signed to the practice squad in 2024.
Oliver was a reserve wideout in 2025 but suffered an injury and was placed on injured reserve.
There's even a chance for two new UDFA receivers to join the Titans. Tyren Montgomery and Hank Beatty are both trying to make the team this preseason.
Xavier Restrepo is the latest UDFA receiver to land with the Titans. Restrepo started the season on the practice squad.
He played in two games last season and then signed a future/reserve contract with the franchise this offseason.
Restrepo's journey to the NFL didn't go as planned. After having success in college at Miami with Cam Ward, he injured his hamstring at Pro Day and couldn't run the 40-yard dash well.
Restrepo ran a 4.83 at the Pro Day, and he ended up not being selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. After lobbying from Ward, the Titans signed Restrepo as a UDFA.
The receiver has been doing plenty of work to try and get back to his old self, and it looks like he's getting there. He shared a video on social media explaining that he's been working with trainers and self-reported that he ran a 4.45 40-yard dash.
While skepticism is a little warranted, if that's true, it could be a difference-maker in Restrepo making this roster.
Last year, the Titans' receiver room featured Calvin Ridley, Van Jefferson, Tyler Lockett, Chimere Dike, Elic Ayomanor and Oliver. Now, Wan'Dale Robinson and Carnell Tate have been added to the mix.
Outside of Lockett and Jefferson, all of those guys are back. Restrepo will also have to compete with K.J. Osborn, Courtney Jackson, Montgomery, Beatty and Lance McCutcheon to make the 53-man roster.
He understands that he has a steep hill to climb, but is making sure to focus on what he can control, per Titans insider Jim Wyatt.
Restrepo's been playing football since childhood, so competition is nothing new to him.
"I just have to be myself," he said. "I can't control the opportunities given to me. My mom tells me all the time, control the controllable. But I know at some point, an opportunity will present itself. So, I've just got to stay ready, so I don't have to get ready. I've played football since I was four years old, so I'm going on year 20 playing football. So, each and every single time I step on the field, I am confident I am going to make something happen, whether the ball is in my hands or out of my hands. I know I can play in this league. I am super prepared and can't wait to compete."
The road is definitely going to be tougher for someone like Restrepo to make this roster. Besides the starters, Dike and Ayomanor are locks to make it, but it's looking like a logjam for everyone else in the receiver room.
We'll have to wait and see what happens to Restrepo as the Titans continue going through training camp.
