According to multiple reports, the Vikings will be activating starting center Ryan Kelly from injured reserve for return to action tomorrow against the Green Bay Packers.
Kelly has missed the last six games due to suffering multiple concussions. Week four was the last time Kelly has touched the field for the purple and white. Prior to that, he ran security for J.J. McCarthy and Carson Wentz both up until he went down.
Currently sitting at 4-6 on the season, the Vikings need all the positive news they can get with seven games left to play. Bolstering their offensive line, Kelly yet again provides McCarthy with essential upfront protection against the likes of Micah Parsons and the rest of the Packers' defensive front.
According to Clutchpoints, In four games, Kelly has yet to allow a pressure in 62 pass-blocking opportunities and possesses the sixth-highest pass-blocking grade among centers with at least 60 snaps this season, according to PFF.
Do you think that Kelly's late season addition helps stabilize the offense for McCarthy and co.? Let us know in the comment section below.
