Fansided's "The Viking Age" brought up the idea that Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy was "the biggest disappointment of the 2025 season."
There were two reasons for the sentiment:
- Too many injuries
- Underwhelming performances at quarterback
Nik Edlund, the writer who penned the article, stated, "his inability to stay healthy is at the top of the list.
Also, "he just didn't play well in 2025. McCarthy looked like an inexperienced quarterback, not having control of the huddle, and holding onto the ball too long, resulting in unnecessary sacks."
With those two major factors impeding the Vikings' chances at success this year, maybe there's a chance that Minnesota looks outside of the organization for help at the position?
