

The Vikings upset the Lions on Christmas without their starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy. Despite the victory, the passing offense for the Vikings was not good. Backup Max Brosmer only completed 56% of his attempts for a total of 51 passing yards. The win had more to do with the Lions beating themselves with turnovers.
Throughout the season, many had questioned whether McCarthy is the right answer at quarterback. While the jury is still out on whether he is or he isn’t, one thing was painfully clear on Christmas: Max Brosmer is definitely not the solution
