Who should the Vikings select in the 2026 NFL Draft?

The 2026 NFL Draft is under a week away, which means mock drafts are at a premium. Analysts have been given months to evaluate these prospects and find fits. This Minnesota Vikings seven-round mock is intended to mirror what a potential draft class could look like. Obviously, it won’t be a perfect match, but the general premise will likely be there.

With that said, it’s time to get into a seven-round predictive mock draft for the Vikings.

1:18- Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon

Dillon Thieneman is a home-run selection for the Vikings. Harrison Smith’s future is uncertain, so finding his replacement is vital. Thieneman’s versatility, pass coverage prowess, and impact against the run makes him an ideal successor and fit in Brian Flores’ defense.

2:49- Chris Bell, WR, Louisville

Chris Bell is a premier receiver in the draft, despite his torn ACL. He’s dynamic after the catch and has another gear that defenders can’t match. This ability allows him to turn a measly three-yard gain into an explosive play. Additionally, he uses his physicality to create separation while running routes.

Wide receiver is a major need for the Vikings. Justin Jefferson is a superstar, but Jordan Addison’s legal troubles and their lack of an established third option are concerning. Because of this, Bell is a perfect addition in round two.

3:82- Sam Hecht, C, Kansas State

Sam Hecht isn’t a flashy pick, but he improves the Vikings’ offensive line. The six-foot-four, 300-pound center is fundamentally sound and plays with outstanding leverage, which helps him anchor against bull rushes. Similarly, his leverage makes him an asset in run blocking, paving the way for the ball carrier. Hecht’s not the most athletically gifted, but he has all the tools to be an impactful center for the foreseeable future.

3:97- Emmett Johnson, RB, Nebraska

Emmett Johnson is fantastic value in late round three. The former Cornhusker is incredibly elusive and frequently makes the first defender miss. Additionally, he’s an explosive threat as a receiver. He would pair well with Jordan Mason and form a dynamic tandem in the backfield. It’s vital JJ McCarthy is given an elite rushing attack to take pressure off him. The Vikings have a chance to do that by adding Johnson.
