The Minnesota Vikings (8-8) are preparing for their game of the year against the Green Bay Packers. And while it's hard for some to believe they could get excited about what for some is a meaningless football game, it's certainly meaningful to those in and around the organization.
At stake for the Vikings is what could become a five-game winning streak and a winning record to end an up and down season. And while it won't erase the feeling of missing the playoffs after going 14-3 last year, it could create more confidence that next season could be different.
Predictions are pouring in for this game and others leading up to the weekend. Kyle Amore of "The Big Lead" made his general predictions for the NFC North this weekend. He shared two predictions for the Vikings on Sunday. His first, that Justin Jefferson would cross 1,000 receiving yards in the game. He gave his justification.
"Justin Jefferson has been nothing short of spectacular during his six seasons with Minnesota. He’s been everything the team could’ve asked for when they selected him 22nd overall in the 2020 draft. The Vikings’ wide receiver was held to 48 yards on six catches during the first meeting with the Packers, but that changes on Sunday. Knowing he’s 53 yards away from 1,000, Jefferson does everything in his power to garner a high number of targets. Minnesota loses the game 24-10, but Justin Jefferson ends the regular season with his sixth consecutive season with 1,000 receiving yards."

Albeit the accomplishment would be impressive given Minnesota's shaky quarterback play before their recent four-game winning streak.
The Vikings in many ways have put it all together in their recent run, but Amore believes the winning streak will come to an end on Sunday. He discussed that notion in his second prediction.
"Minnesota has finished the season on a high note after dealing with adversity since week one. After last week’s victory over Detroit, Minnesota hosts Green Bay in the final game of the regular season. Unfortunately, Green Bay is preparing for the playoffs and wants to curb its three-game losing streak. The Vikings fail to secure their fifth consecutive win."
Minnesota enters the game as the underdog, but they will have the chance to end the season as an emphatic success. They will look to make that happen against the Packers.
