Pat McAfee breaks down the explosive potential of Kyler Murray and Kevin O'Connell uniting in Minnesota, sparking a league-altering transformation.

It's the potential move that many in the NFL are talking about: Kyler Murray could be the next quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings.

Murray has been a lightning rod, some of which is warranted but some of which is not, for those looking for somewhere to pin the failings of the Arizona Cardinals over the last few seasons. But the quarterback has proven to be one of the more talented quarterbacks in the NFL, and now the Vikings have a chance to add him to their roster.

There's a reason the Murray to Minnesota talk has increased. The quarterback was released by the Cardinals ahead of early free agency deadlines. It's a big enough move that one of the more popular sports figures covering the NFL had to say something about it.

ESPN's Pat McAfee and former Indianapolis Colts punter shared his thoughts on what the move could mean for the Vikings and the quarterback on "The Pat McAfee Show."

"If Kevin O'Connell can get Kyler Murray to buy in to learning his offense entirely, and that, I am not saying that that will be a problem, but I'm saying, if he can get him to buy into that offense completely, and understand what's going on, and utilize everything that he can do, it's like that would be a lethal, that would be a problem. Like, I think if he was able to get the best out of Kyler Murray, I think that would be a problem. And also, the Minnesota Vikings, who were the worst in the division, become the story of the season where it's like, 'See? We gave up on these guys way too soon.' Both of them. There's a chance that that could happen in Minnesota."

There are few if any in the NFL that possess that Michael Vick-like ability to beat you through the air and on the ground. If there is a quarterback that can do both, it's Murray.

McAfee noted the strange nature of the contract the Cardinals wanted to give to Murray, which included mandating that the quarterback watch film rather than working under the assumption that he would. Some view that as a red flag.

It is certain that Murray possesses the ability to make plays that no quarterback on the Vikings' current roster can. For that reason, bringing him in seems like a no brainer. We'll see if Minnesota can make it happen.
