
Minnesota continues evaluating options as the franchise searches for its next general manager.
According to reports from NFL Network Insiders Tom Pelissero and Adam Schefter, the Minnesota Vikings have requested interviews with RJ Gillen, John McKay, Nolan Teasley and Terrance Gray for their vacant general manager position following the firing of Kwesi Adofo-Mensah this offseason.

Gillen enters Minnesota's general manager search with 11 seasons of front office experience in San Francisco, serving his first season as the 49ers’ assistant general manager in 2025 after previous stints as director of player personnel and director of pro personnel.
He's played a key role in player evaluation, free agency preparation, roster management and organizational decision-making alongside general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Beyond scouting, Gillen has also worked closely with football administration and analytics departments on contract negotiations, market analysis and data-driven roster strategies.

McKay has 10 seasons of front office experience with the Rams, serving his first season as assistant general manager in 2025 after previously working as director of pro personnel and assistant director of pro scouting.
He's played a significant role in managing player acquisitions and departures, evaluating all NFL rosters ahead of free agency, and producing scouting reports for upcoming opponents. He also contributes to both pro and college evaluations in preparation for free agency and the NFL Draft.
McKay is the son of longtime NFL executive Rich McKay and the grandson of the late coach John McKay. He has also previously worked with Kevin O’Connell during their time in Los Angeles together.

Teasely has 12 seasons of front office experience in Seattle, just finishing his second season as assistant general manager after previous roles as director of pro personnel, assistant director of pro personnel and pro personnel scout.
He works closely with Seahawks leadership on all aspects of player acquisition, including the draft, free agency and trade discussions, while continuing to evaluate NFL rosters and practice squads throughout the year.
Teasely is heavily involved in free agency strategy, undrafted free agent signings and year-round roster and trade analysis, along with scouting opponents and coordinating player tryouts and visits.

Gray has been with the Bills since 2017 and previously spent 11 seasons as a scout with the Vikings, giving him prior familiarity with the organization ahead of his interview. He also has additional NFL experience with the Kansas City Chiefs, adding to his front office background across multiple organizations.
He's been a highly regarded personnel executive and has drawn interest in previous hiring cycles for other front office vacancies due to his scouting background, league-wide relationships and reputation for talent evaluation and roster building insight.
