5 Prospects the Vikings Should Keep an Eye on During the Senior Bowl cover image

What propsects should the Vikings be watching at the Senior Bowl?

NFL Draft season is officially underway as players are beginning to compete in pre-draft events in an attempt to raise their stock. One of the biggest opportunities for teams to get eyes on prospects is at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, AL, which starts next week. The Minnesota Vikings will undoubtedly be tuned in as there are numerous prospects who would be amazing fits for them at various positions of need.

It was tough to narrow this list down, as there are plenty of targets the Vikings should keep their eyes on. However, these five stand out as players the team, and fans, must watch in Mobile.

Chris Johnson- CB, San Diego State

Chris Johnson is one of the most underrated players in college football. He dominated at San Diego State last year, only allowing 18 receptions, 0 touchdowns, and grabbing four interceptions. He has a good frame at 6 foot, 195 pounds, and pairs fabulous technique with impressive movement skills. Johnson isn’t being talked about because of the limited exposure of his college, but he will shine in Mobile and could potentially push himself towards a first round pick.

Charles Demmings- CB, Stephen F. Austin

Charles Demmings is virtually unheard of heading into the Senior Bowl because he’s from an FCS team, however, he has the skills to compete against FBS talent and is ready to show it. The 6-foot-1, 190 pound cornerback only surrendered 18 receptions, one touchdown, and caused four turnovers. Most fans won’t know who he is on day one, but expect that to change quickly. Demmings has the chance to be the biggest riser from the Senior Bowl.

Elijah Sarratt- WR, Indiana

Elijah Sarrat’s stock was continuously on the rise throughout the year, but it took a massive drop after the National Championship game. He struggled against Indiana, only having three receptions for 28 yards. Additionally, he was 0/4 in contested catch situations. Because of this, his mentality and play will be under close watch by many fans, the Vikings included. If he thrives in the Senior Bowl he can push his stock back up to where it once was.

Emmanuel McNeil-Warren- Safety, Toledo

Emmanuel McNeil-Warren is the next great Toledo defensive player to enter the NFL. The 6-foot-2, 202 pound safety is outstanding against the run and isn’t afraid to hit a defender. He’s an excellent mover and can cover a variety of positions. McNeil-Warren would be a fantastic replacement if Harrison Smith chooses to retire.

Jacob Rodriguez- Linebacker, Texas Tech

Jacob Rodriguez was the heart and soul of the elite Texas Tech defense in 2025. His leadership and impact on the field is already known, but teams still need to see how he will translate to the NFL. The first step in showing that and solidifying his draft stock is to perform well against the strong competition at the Senior Bowl. If he passes, he would be an ideal mid-round target for the Vikings.
