How did the ESPN Draft analysts do while selecting for the Vikings?
The group of ESPN Draft Analysts recently created their three-round rotating mock draft. Mel Kiper, Field Yates, Matt Miller and Jordan Read didn’t create a predictive mock, but what they would do. Because of that, there were some interesting selections, especially for the Minnesota Vikings. Below is a grade for each of their picks.
1:18- Dillon Thieneman: A
It’s predictable, but that’s not bad. Thieneman’s versatility and athleticism make him a desirable replacement for Harrison Smith. The opposing quarterback must identify him before the play, otherwise it could result in dire consequences with his ball skills. Theineman’s impactful against the run and flies downhill to make the tackle. He would be an excellent addition to Brian Flores’ defense.
2:49- Jadarian Price: B+
The Vikings aren’t in range for Jeremiyah Love, but they can still grab his running mate in round two. Price’s breakaway speed, paired with his elite vision, makes him an enticing change-of-pace player. While he isn’t the most evasive, Price understands how to find open space and reads his blocks well. Additionally, he provides immense value on special teams, returning two kicks for touchdowns in 2025. He would form a dynamic tandem with Jordan Mason if the Vikings add him on day two.
3:82- Connor Lew: B
Connor Lew is a risky selection, but would be immense value if he pans out. Lew suffered a torn ACL on October 18, 2025, in Auburn’s matchup against Missouri. Because of this, he missed the second half of the season and the entire pre-draft process. Additionally, he doesn’t have tons of experience, only playing 1,603 snaps in his career. Even with all of these concerns, he’s still an enticing prospect. Lew’s tape is impressive and his wrestling background is evident. He has amazing hand usage and uses his strength to overpower defenders. It’s a bold selection, but it could end up being a spectacular value pick if he rehabs and translates well.
3:97- De’Zhaun Stribling- A+
De’Zhaun Stribling is one of the most underrated players in the draft and fits perfectly in the Vikings' offense. The X receiver has great vertical speed, running a 4.36 40-yard dash, and is difficult to tackle after the catch. He can create separation with his extensive release package and thrives in the middle of the field. Stribling needs to improve his consistency as a route runner, but that can be taught in the NFL. He’s an outstanding complement to Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison; there’s no reason the Vikings shouldn’t select him if he’s available at pick 97.
