Jauan Jennings joins an elite receiving corps and a revamped quarterback room, injecting the veteran edge and red-zone physicality necessary to redefine Minnesota's identity this season.

The Minnesota Vikings officially have one of the best wide receiver trios in the entire NFL, both from a top-end talent standpoint with Justin Jefferson leading the way and from a depth perspective with Jordan Addison and newly acquired Jauan Jennings.

This is arguably the best trio in all of football.

The Vikings have real versatility among the group. Jefferson is the do-it-all superstar. Addison brings game-breaking speed and big-play ability. Jennings adds a bigger-bodied, contested-catch presence who can be a touchdown machine in the red zone.

Minnesota can beat defenses in a variety of ways. And to make the offense even more dangerous, the Vikings also have T.J. Hockenson, one of the better receiving tight ends in the NFL.

One of the more underrated parts of the Jennings signing is the personality he brings. Despite some rocky moments toward the end of his 49ers tenure, including contract disputes and ultimately finding a new home, Jennings has plenty of edge and energy. He’s already starting to show that since arriving in Minnesota.

With a new quarterback situation headlined by Kyler Murray competing with J.J. McCarthy for the starting job, an explosive receiving corps and the vibes seemingly strong again in Minnesota, the Vikings have a real chance to take a major step forward after taking one back last season.

Oftentimes, a shakeup can be good. And this Minnesota team certainly needed one. Not only will the Vikings look different on the field this season, but with new veteran voices in the locker room, don’t underestimate this team.

Fresh faces are important for a team looking to turn things around and establish an identity.
